Snap On First Gen Contour Grip Colors?

Can anyone tell me what colors the first gen contour grip screwdrivers came in? I’ve seen black, red, green, and pearl white. One not sure if the green and pearl white were special order/limited release though. I can’t seem to find the colors referenced in the old catalogs. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place. I’ve got a set of pearl white ones and I know they came from a dealers collection, so I don’t know if they were mass released or not.

Ive seen red (racing edition), pearl (500 edition), green, yellow, orange (branded Williams).

I have 4 red (posi drive) .Also have a couple green, orange and yellow ones branded Snap on. Have also seen dark blue on Ebay.
Some pocket size ones are clear and there is one that is kind of a gold sparkle

The standard colours were black (for the majority of the drivers) and red (for Pozidriv).

Being big Pozidriv users here in the U.K. we probably see more of them than anywhere else.

I’ve seen yellow, green and pearl white, but they were definitely “specials” (at least here in the U.K.) and were not generally available.

Good drivers though. In some respects I like the shape of the handles more than the later ones. The material they were made of was pretty good too (Eastman Tenite). If it gets damaged you can sand it down and re polish it!

Working in a shop in the 1980s, I remember the black for everything and only Posidrive was red.
The first available color my SO guy had was Orange. I still have most everything in orange.

Yep, I see those second gen handles in all the colors in the catalogs. But the first gen catalogs don’t reference colors from what I can tell.

Do you think the colored sets were some sort of special release or market test?

I have first gen orange at my shop.
If I recall correctly, they were special sets of 8 screwdrivers released only as sets at first.

Are you talking about the older square handles or the older 3 sided acetate handles?
