Snap On discontinued the FD+ extra long wrenches quite a while back and I always regretted not getting a set. They kept the regular ones but dropped the Plus. Well they're back and my dealer had them on promo (don't know if it's his promo or Snap On's) I didn't let them get away this time! Set number is: SOEXLM710B

They've had them available since last year, and this is actually the first time they've done a full 10pc set, the older set skipped sizes.

Ok, how much longer are the XL compared to the standard length FDP?

the older ones were only like an open end heads length longer which to me wasn't that impressive. :dunno:

Last year they had a bogo deal. Buy metric get the standard. It stayed on the truck for a while. Kept passing them up. I ended up getting them and very glad I did.

Hard to say, it's more than just the inch or so you describe. I'll get a comparison pic tomorrow next to my FDP wrenches from the 90's

Here's a comparison pic with a regular 18mm FD+ From the 90's and a new extra long FD+ wrench. The extra reach and leverage is a welcome addition.
