I don't know about you guys, but does that look like something you would want to drink out of? At first I thought it was stainless but then the ebay picture looks like the 'regular' inside of a socket.

its neat but not $250+ neat. I'm sure after that auction ends i'd wish very much I had a set just to flip.

The new ones on the youtube video appear to have the snap-on logo on both sides at the bottom while the old ones like on ebay say 5/8" SF201 USA on one side. The old ones also were available in combo handles as well as box ends like all the ones in the video are.

I had a stainless cup once and I lived in the bush so did a lot of camping and hanging by woodstoves. The stainless kept my coffee hot and it held probably 14 - 16 oz. I missed it so I bought a couple of these but they are an alloy which stains badly from coffee or other drinks and the inside shape goes from 12 point to round with a step to a 1 1/2" square 1/2" deep at the bottom = a ***** to clean on the inside. I won't drink from them anymore but one day i want to machine a nice smooth interior shape inside and coat it with some kind of enamel or something that will work with coffee and other beverages. A buddy suggested pressing a plastic cup inside, heating it and moulding it tight to the inside but plastic and beer or coffee for that matter don't go too well together.

Anyone got any other ideas on coating the inside (after I machine it smooth)

did you "earn" it by spending 8 grand on a toolbox like one of those guys in the video? lol

Nope, havent bought a box yet. I do have a handshake deal on a KRSC100 though...and I do consider myself to be a good customer. I think he does too because whenever he gets the cool promo stuff in, he's got post-it notes on them with who they are budgeted for...my name is usually always on something.

I agree - I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't mind having one if someone wanted to give me one but I wouldn't pay money for it and wouldn't use it for drinking! :spit:

I too could have earned a set by buying a 120.00 tool. Instead, I paid off a 300.00 balance. Nothing. Ah well... I dont need any tools for a while, and I was one of the few who bought from the tool guys. Lets see how that works. We already lost a Matco rep because nobody was buying.
