Snap-On Floor Jack Identification

I just picked up this floor jack yesterday off of Craigslist. The owner bought it used about 10 years ago. I believe it is at least a 2 ton jack. He said it was a Snap-On, but didn't know which model, and any identification stickers were worn off years ago as you can see. He also told me that it would raise and lower when it wasn't placed under anything, but that it would no longer support the weight of a vehicle. If you tried to jack up a car, it wouldn't move it. To prove his point, he slide it underneath his truck and proceeded to jack one of the wheels into the air without any trouble at all. Once raised, it stayed right where he left it. So it appeared to work perfectly. I bought it for the price he listed and put it in my trunk. I thought that it might need a rebuild kit, but after seeing that I'm not so sure. Anyway, I would like to know which model I have. Is there any way to figure this out?

I believe that is a YA700. A 2.5 ton jack.

They were made by Lincoln (now Hein Warner), they are a great jack. I have one it is 30 years old and still works great. You can still get parts for them.

I contacted Snap-On directly. After going through the information and photos I have, it came down to one of two models: the YA700 mentioned above and the YA642. They differ from each other in weight and length.

The YA700 is 37 1/2" long and weighs 107 lbs.
The YA642 is 28 1/2" long and weighs 90 lbs.

My jack is 28 1/2" long, so it is a YA642.
