Curious, does Snap on offer freebies at a certain dollar level a year ? I remember someone posting vouchers if they had spent $6k or more in a year...i.e. a socket set, etc..

I get a free pair of snap-on socks around christmas time from my dealer lol. I will admit as dumb as it sounds, they are the best socks I've ever worn. No free tools yet though and my box/tools probably have a combined list price of about 15k.

Any "free" items given out by dealers were paid for by that individual dealer. The only thing that Snap-on sends its dealers for free are catalogs. I think I just spent about $600 for 2011 calenders.

I give those socks out every year for Christmas. People love them. They are the only socks I wear.

I could have sworn I saw a thread here with a coupon from snap on, not dealers that had a choice of either a socket kit with wrench or something else to choose from.

Yeah, I get the freebies as well knowing its was paid for by the dealer. I appreciate the dealers that do, keeps me coming back to the same dealer.

DAMN Andy size 17 you could ski without skis.

the freebies are not really freebies. nothing is free from snap on.
we have to purchase set amounts of tools to get the " free items "

How "free" is it when you're paying 19% interest through Snap On Credit? I told my dealer that I wouldn't finance through Snap On Credit. I've bought both of my boxes on a truck account. He's been pretty good to me. BUT, even though I sold a 90th Anniversary Epiq box for him, I didn't get any freebies.

My friend and I got "free" insulated cups from the Snap-on guy last week. Supposed to buy a tool set as advertised in the Hot Deal flyer but he just gave it to us. My friend says, :Cool we get a free cup?" S/O guy says, "Trust me, you guys aren't getting it for free."

I've tried a lot of American made works socks and I also think these are the best I've tried.

I've gotten a few pairs free. A blue point scraper. And a hell of a lot of warranty work for some of the bum tools I've bought here. That's the best part.

used to have a dealer who gave out heavy winter coats every year , i have 3
also plenty of t-shirts
i actually refused the coats , cause i knew they were not free but he insisted
he used to be a regional rep , then ran a few truck routes , then retired
i bought alot of stuff from him over the years
any other dealer i have had dealings with no matter the brand , never got anything more than a calender
that is one dealer i will never forget.......

I've declined a few freebies as well, because I knew I wouldn't have any use for 'em, and didn't want to waste his dough.

I would like to find an old school SO t-shirt that's simple. Just blue or black or red with the white logo (preferably one of the older logos, like the underlined one). Nothing all crazy with the NASCAR **** or graphics or anything of that.

My SO man always gives me stuff - sometimes I turn down things I know I have no use for and don't even want the item as a collectable. I know he does it 'cause I have been with him for 15 years and I make my payments every week - usually more than the minimum required.
One of the best was a nice rain jacket I wear all the time - simple, black with just a small SO logo.

I also have never gotten more than a calender out of any other tool guys.

I also got the SO credit deal on my last box deal a few months ago - I got the free top box (forget the model) that lists for about $1500.

I've gotten a pair of socks, a t shirt, a nice zip up embroidered sweater, the insulated cup, calendar. Something else cool that my SO guy pulls out sometime is a roulette wheel. Spin it and get either 10%, 20% or 50% off whatever you're purchasing that day. I've spun it twice, and both times have gotten the 10%. ****!

I've gotten a handful of things over the years, socks, a couple of coffee cups, ball caps, but my favorite has been a little 6" pocket ruler. I've used the hell out of it over the years.
