I have that same set in Mac. I use it to do house calls also. Works great as it has just about everything you need.

I would buy it. That seems like a pretty decent deal for a complete set.

Dang, $190 seems too high for a 1/4" set, even though it seems good compared to retail. BTW the retail price I see is $566

Thats a great set. I have it at the house, and it gets more use than almost anything else. It definitely comes in handy on the side jobs. That set, and a ratcheting screw driver set, make a very nice combo.

Thats pretty much the set I have minus the metric, and since you have already bought some other stuff from him maybe he will cut you a better deal. If not you at least know he is a straight shooter.

It's a great set, and I use the hell out of my 1/4 drive stuff daily. However, my 1/4 snap on stuff really just gathers dust these days. Why? because I got tired of paying what it costs to replace the occassional socket that disappears. I've had great luck with this SK set, and the sockets are alot cheaper to replace if one comes up missing.

The same can be said for Craftsman too. Craftsman doesn't make some of the 1/4 sizes like 15mm.
One thing to ponder is that except for the 1/4 socket, how often will you use the SAE half of the set on late model cars?

I have the same set but it is broken down into two plastic cases; one metric, one standard..... I put the set together by slowly building it up through used sets and individual items as I found them, used. I like having everything in the plastic cases; it helps you to keep your tools together and not lose things! I just got a swivel head Snap-On dual 80 ratchet and really enjoy using it; if you can, get one! Congrats on the new job! :)

What makes you think the ratchets garbage? I have numerous 1/4 ratchets, and I don't enjoy any of them as much as the T72.

I hate the T72 series ratchets. I think they bind, the heads are bulky, I had a selector switch snap off in normal use on a fairly new ratchet. I like the F80 series but, I don't care for the T72 series ratchets at all but, that's just me. Your results may vary.

I have numerous ratchets, and I don't think the T72 is better than any of them. *shrug* I still usually use my round head, and leave the T72 in the drawer.

buy it.........thats what tool junkies do

Yup, bought my first metal lathe for a grand the week I lost my job years ago, my logic? "I won't be out of work long at all!" over two years later, and at that point moved back in with my retired parents I finally found another job in my field. (What a *******)

Yeah, it's like totally immoral to buy tools when you're unemployed. :D

I learned the hard way, it kinda is. :lol_hitti

Congrats on the new job.

Very much so Andy, glad to count you amongst the worker bees again.

i have many 1/4dr ratchets as Snap on and Mac tools... But i always worn out the round head ratchet while T72 still working good... well i like old snap ratchet but it is too stiff.. i do has but it just sit as backup if i break a t72...

Glad to hear you got a new job. The way people talk about you, did not think it would take long.

thank you!! i had asked my former Service manager who work with me before Dealership closed to come with me to talk and discuss about me with a Service Director at Ford mercury Lincoln shop. my former service manager which is friend to me now, he know the Service director as he has many friends who bring vehicles (ford products) to that Ford Dealership that Service Director work at. he said that Service Director are great guy and work for Andy Mohr Ford as long times... that Service director are very interesting on me and my friend(former service manager) explain him how to communcation with me like use simple sign as spelling L-O-F which it is oil change, and etc.. But it still need use paper and pen to communcation with me if needed to. I always use paper and pen to talk or ask a questions..

Anyway, today i did met the seller at gas station as half way from my place and his place. he asked me as how do i like the torque wrench that he sold to me before. i told him, it is work great and use daily as engine repairs or transmission repairs.. he was glad that i still use it.. so i did look at that snap on general 1/4dr set, it show almost brand new but use it few times. he was plan to sell 190 dollars on craiglist but i replied first and he know me before as i asked if he is firm on price or can be make a deal. he said 175 dollars for me. so i paid cash for it.. i am happy now.. i cant wait to go back ford dealership to start to wrenching again!!! :bounce::bounce::bounce:

Bad new is i will not have same snap on guy for new job... damn it!! :(
