I have the 44 piece 1/4 set in the molded case, 144tmpb. It is a nice little setup....any idea why it doesn't exist in 3/8? Or does it and my searching skills ****?

They do make 3/8 sets, come in molded cases like the 1/4 sets. Useful for mobile work where you don't want to carry a small toolbox around, I suppose.

I have seen 3/8 sets, just wondering if they make the same setup with both sae and metric. I find the 144tmpb be a nice catchall type setup.

They have a 3/8 foundation set. You choose which sockets you want to add...fractional, mm, universals, shallow, semi, deep.

Here is the link...

I have the 1/4" drive set.I find it very convient to have it in the plastic case. However, the draw back is that it is very easy to dump it all over. It happened a few times and once on the side of the road in the snow.It really sucked to pick up all those pieces all covered with snow. My guess is that the same set in 3/8" drive would be quite expensive and alot of folks would shy away from the set and build their own set a little at a time. For awhile there were SK 3/8" drive sets on Ebay for less than $200.00 in a plastic case. I regret not buying one then.
