I've been lurking around for a while, checking

out the board & getting up to speed.

Just scored some new stuff and looking for some

background info.

Some may go f/s or trade, most will stay.

Thanks!

Anyone know the original price on this set?

Easco set will be available for trade to fill in the 3 or 4 SO wrenches that I need to
complete my set.

2 Harley Davidson wrenches & a Cornwall 17mm (industrial finish?) also
up for trade.

Beautiful SO General Service set. Did the comfort grip ratchet come
as part of this in the small side compartment. 1 SO & 2 HD screwdrivers.

I have one of these sets. Mine was boxed in a carboard box when I got it.
The ratchet that's in your foam cutout is the ratchet that was included with my kit as well. I did not get any of the loose screwdrivers in the side compartment or a soft-grip ratchet.

I redid some of the foam in mine to hold a hard handle ratchet that I like better, and to make the foam shallower. I keep it in the back of a car along with the owners manual for that car and the tool for the convertible top. Very handy little kit. I put some small pliers, electrical tape, and cutters I already had in that side compartment

If you decide you don't want that set, I'd be happy to buy it. I'd love to have another one to keep in a car.

Thanks for the info.

I'll printout the spec sheets for the toolboxes & keep them together.

I didn't think any of the extra items came with the service set.

It has SAE & Metric sockets.

The metrics are non-sequential. Goes from 8mm, 10mm to 12mm.

Is that the way SO issued it or am I missing a few?

BTW, I've never had or seen a set of those SO pliers.

Any info on them?

I think the idea behind the sockets is that they were giving you the more commonly needed sizes to do common roadside repairs.
The pliers are high leverage pliers, they still sell them:
