Somewhere in Chicago there is a Snap On dealer that missed out on you.
Hopefully you're registered with one of our own members that happens to be a Sanaapy dealer.
Nice haul and congratulations on winning the lottery.

I wonder if I can sign up for an auto mech class at the local junior college. I can place my stock orders thru the student website. :D

We've had a couple of bank robberies out here recently, coincidence?

By the way I need that ski mask you borrowed to go snowmobiling, I think we're done with snow for the season.

You have to be a full time student to receive the SEP discount. :(

Could he have purchased from Chad or Shaun? I thought there was something about not selling outside their territory.

I have a girlfriend, I am just cheap. I save all my money to buy tools while I can get them at a discount cost. I pretty much stopped buying coffee, and eating out 2-3 times a week.

Your UPS guy will need to eat his wheaties before making the delivery at your door. Nice order but watch out for these flare nut wrench sets, there is/was a serious issue with broaching. They had to send me three sets plus a few individuals before I could be satisfied with my set. That was a year or two ago, so let us know if your sets are all straight.

Thanks for the heads up, I will inspect them carefully when they arrive.

Honestly half the students dont know a good tool if it bit them in the ****. They would probably not even put two and two together.

Same here. Most of the students I go to school with have damn near nothing or cheap HF stuff. I talked to my rep and he said out of about 100 students, only 5 of us have bought anything.

I've been in the program for almost a year, and order about $400 a month in Snap on tools. I've been doing it slowly, but it is piling up very nicely.

Amen.

I've quit ALL my extra ciricular activities to save money. I'm taking full advantage of this while I can.

The sad thing is I try to educate them, and they always go on about how Harbor Freight is just as good. And its not even a money thing, I see how much they poor into there cars, and sound systems. I guess they will find out the hard way when they get out of school.

You can't be serious? :headscrat I don't want to start any bashing against HF but, if these guys are in the same course as you to be a mechanic etc.

How the **** do they expect to do their job properly with out the correct tools that will last from the first purchase? :wtf:

For the average shade tree mech, or the random tool spinner you know what HF is fine . . . But, if you're using these tools to make a living and also have the benefit to receive such a nice discount why on Gods green earth would they not use it??

Only a fucken ***** would go that route seriously!

I wish I wasn't serious. Honestly though, half these kids are just out of high school, and I really do not believe most of them will even finish the program. We have a good program, but I think they need to put more emphasis on tool education.

When I was in school I took advantage of the discount through Matco and one of our local tool stores. Matco saved me 1/4 to 1/3 off most items. Is Snap On about the same?

Alright I have to ask just because . . . What kind of tools are in the class? Doesn't the school when it first starts isn't there a orientation about how the course runs / operates and what benefits are offered?

Are you sure all the students are aware they can receive said discount? I can fully understand if *Johnny* comes from a low income family etc or has tons of other financial commitments etc.

So I can see some going the HF route, just until they start making the cash in the job . . . But, if they have the cash and really believe these tools will operate under load daily in a actual shop with out falter they are smokin some serious ice!

Both shops in the school are decked out with Snap-on, Matco, SK, OTC etc. And when you start the program the Matco, and Snap-on guy comes to visit the intro class. So it is not a matter of lack of information. The students either do not pay attention or do not care. And these students for the most part are not hurting financially, so it really is just ignorance. Plus the school is riddled with Snap-on, and Matco fliers promoting the Tech Ed programs.
