sdd2r-1r = 3 1/16 x 1''
sdd5r-1r = 4 3/8'' x 1 1/4''
sdd6r-1r = 4 15/16'' x 1 3/16''
sdd8r-1r = ????fill it in who ever has ordered one

The SDD8R1RR = 5 3/8" x 1 1/4"

I printed out the .pdf and gave it to my dealer. He looked at it and said "Where did you get this???" He was pretty pleased, i think he knows there's demand. :)

I got that but more like "how the f*ck do you know more about snap on then a rep!" :bounce: The next thing was whipping out the blackberry and calling the D/M saying something like "Stop lieing to me, we can get the hard handles I have the listings in my hand. You know how many people I have that want this or need replacements and you are pulling my chain!?'

This went on for about 2 mins and he hung up, then he gave me a free SPBS36G for the print off, as well as ordering e my green handles.

So all in all a good day.

My dealer is a great guy, So many people try and screw him over...just because he wont warranty there 5 gal pale of broken tools they got at the flee market.

So he really appreciates when some one helps him out.

Very Nice. What size bit did you use to drill the handles out?

the 1/2" ratchet i used a 7/16" bit and the 3/8" i used a 3/8" bit, on a side note you have to drill REAL SLOW, they drill real easy

i used the
SDD8R1RR for the 1/2" ratchet
SDD6R1RR for the 3/8" ratchet
they are just a little bit longer than the soft grip handles that came off

Do the soft grips come off with out being destroyed? I've got a 3/8 flex that is tore up, With all the soft grip haters, does any body want to get rid of one?

Yes they come off easy, But you can buy a new soft grip handle from Snap-On for a FHF80 flex head 3/8" ratchet pretty cheap

part# FH936-12 (Soft Grip Handle) $6.55

Yep, ordered one from the truck the last time I saw him, ordered a bunch of stuff the same time, the one I got was for a 1/2"drive(he ships driectly to me), but the invoice never listed it, so I was waiting to catch him again, just so hard to do though. Not bashing the SO man at all, he's always been good to me, I just dont work out of a pro shop, so I usually pick him up on the route somewhere. Just did not want anybody to be tossing them in the trash!!!

Traditionally the ratchets that have handles on them, have a smaller shaft, then the straight hard handled ratchets. That isn't to say you couldn't grind down your hard handles then place a handle on them, or drill out a larger handle and epoxy it on.

No yellow. Sorry. Hopefully sales go well and they will keep them around. This site was one reason the handles were brought back. many many other people like the hard handle over any other handle we have.

Hey fordbronco, you have any luck getting rob to do this ?

my printer had a dried up cartrige when i went to print it, i'll get one printed out and have him display it in his truck.

i had him look the part numbers up and he can find them, takes a lot of nudging and complaining for him to do it though. i was going to have 2 handles ordered but he never got them so he lost my sale

I keep a S/O driver (red soft-grip at left in photo) with either a 1/4 or 5/16 socket on top of my shop cart. The color was really out of place.

Photo0476.jpg

Finally fixed that. Ordered some green hard handles for a few misc screwdrivers and used one on my 1/4-inch driver. Had to drill it out but now I'm matching again.
