Any more info on these? Like sizes?

I'd love to put a black handle on my 3/8" dual 80 ratchet but I don't know which one would be ideal?

SDD8R1RR – Red (3/8” core) should be for an 8 inch screwdriver sdd8 sddp64 sgd8br
SDD6R1RR – Red (5/16” core) 6 inch sdd6 sgd6br
SDD5R1RR – Red (1/4” core) 4 inch sddp42
8r might work on 1/2 ratchet
6r might work on 3/8
5r might work on 1/4
measure your shank on your ratchet then order as necessary.

This is what it will cost you guys to build a #2 Phillips screwdriver with a 4 inch long 1/4 inch diameter blade: (SDDP42)

Blade SSDP42IRRB ..............................$16.95
Handle Black SDD5R-1R .....................$17.00

For a grand total of ............................$33.95 :shocking:

Or you could buy a stock screw driver and sell the handle on Ebay and probable recoup the hole price. It is very costly but I think the price will drop some. But I'm not going to take a chance on them discontinuing them again.

The dealers will probable be selling built screw drivers for the normal price I would think.

Are the shanks in the Instinct drivers the same size as the hard-handle? So what's stopping everyone from hitting up ebay and getting cheap Instinct sets and buying the handles off of the truck?

I'm glad I finally saw that PDF.

I asked the dealer that comes by our shop about the handles, and he said he hadn't heard anything about them.

most dealers do not pay attention to the new stuff online like chad and I do. We try to stay on top of the market at all times. Thats how we run a good business.

part# = size
the first measurement being the length and the second being the measurement across the flats

sdd2r-1r = 3 1/16 x 1''
sdd5r-1r = 4 3/8'' x 1 1/4''
sdd6r-1r = 4 15/16'' x 1 3/16''
sdd8r-1r = 5 3/8" x 1 1/4"

the small one(sdd2r-1r) is goin on one of my small pry bar the red one(sdd5r1rr) is going on the only mac tool i have a gearless ratchet i got for $30, and i havent decided what im doing with the large one(sdd6r-1r) i already put a sdd6r-1r on a 3/8 ratchet and i like that size on 3/8 so ill probly end up buying a fhlf80 and takeing the comfort grip off and putting the sdd6r-1r on it

I'd like to see some pics on the FHLF80 conversion...

I've been slowly converting all my red comfort grips to the green grips. Now that I see these are readily available, i'm going to be in some trouble....

thank you for posting a pic of the handles so the members that were worshiping the Made in china gods did not get too excited. I love to prove them wrong.

rocco

that color is not available, but if you wanted the same size as the 3 pictured in the colors available(black, red, orange, green) it would be
sdd2r-1r 1/4'' ratchet
sdd5r-1r 3/8'' ratchet
sdd6r-1r 1/2'' ratchet
these are the part#s for black, for the colors go to the first post for all the different part#s
