I searched the forums but didn't really find an answer... when you remove the hard handle from a Snap-on ratchet (such as an FHD80R), is it usually re-usable? i.e. can you take it off one ratchet and put it on another, or do you have to use only a brand-new (never installed) replacement hard handle?

Back in the mid/late '80s an SO truck guy warrantied my #2 Phillips driver by replacing/inserting a new shank into my old hard plastic handle (I still use this driver to this day). Not sure if this is the case with your issue tho...

You can re-use the handles. Just make sure when removing the old one to do so carefully. Generally with hard Handles they pry off pretty easy in a vise.
