I was browsing around last night and I came across a set of old style snap on screwdrivers. I know that as of right now you can not find them on the snap-on site and because I dont work in a shop it's hard to get anything from the truck where I live. My question is what do these usually go for now. I know on ebay they are outrageous for used handles but these are brand new. Thanks

Looks like the guy opened the package and rotated the handles to hide the new logos. Call Snap-on and ask for a dealer close to your area without a price markup.

These are available form Snap On, part numbers are:

SDDX70AR Red
SDDX70AO Orange
SDDX70AG Green

$129 is list. I've seen lots of clowns (present company excluded I'm sure) trying to sell these on ebay for $150 or more.

m hatcher,

For the record, the Snap-on green handled drivers seem to have a large and growing fan club and command premium (i.e. stupid) prices on ebay.

I called snap-on and spoke to someone and they said that they still had them just they were hard to find online. The guy was asking 145 for the set, but snap-on listed at 129.00 like a previous poster. And i have noticed the green handle ones are real big and sadly that is the one i'm interested in. But thanks everyone for the input, ill skip this "deal"

I just bought a set like the picture shows, in green, brand new, for $129, delivered from an eBay seller.

The one handle in the picture looks like it was the "snapon racing" hard handles and not even the current release.

Don't know why the SO person you spoke with couldn't send you in the right direction but they are on the SO website and in stock in green for $129.

I have seen the "snap-on racing" logo handles, but I was unaware that they had a newer one. Does anyone have a pic of these?

You can also tell they are newer because of the lack of stubby screwdrivers.

Weird that the logos are not visible. Makes me wonder if they are Williams.

Unless you are determined to get a Snap-on set why not consider the Williams hard handles? The Williams 8-piece set like this:

sells for $41.57 at toolsdelivered.com. They are even manufactured in USA. If you don't need 8-pieces they also have 5 and 6-piece sets for less.

I have seen the williams and have been considering them, but those green handles just grab the eyes. But for $70 over the williams, that's a bit more than I would like to pay for a color.
