A while back I asked if there was any interest in the 1st gen hard handled screwdrivers. Many comments, a few suggestions. One was to put them on ebay and report the results. So......

I did, and had 11 watchers, but just one bid. (Are you guys watching my stuff???) Anywho...all it takes is one bid, and I now have a nice downpayment for a new set of green hard handled ones! :)

Bottom line, not a hot commodity, but they're worth something to someone.

There's enough red equipment around here, I don't want red screwdrivers hiding from me!

So how much did they go for? Why not post a link for us? The Black ones seem to be more common than others but if you get some with a different color, those ones bring the money!

The set of 7 screwdrivers went for $70. Sure, you hope for more, but...it beats a kick in the ***. These were back in the days before all those purty colors.

Link is extremely long...if you want to see the listing, open up ebay and type 260711329553 into the search box.

I think you did good on that sale. Someone filling in a vintage tool set would have also.

I'm good with it. I went a little heavy on the shipping, you never know where they are going. I got lucky, the guy is in the next state. So, by the time you take out the ebay and paypal fees, I still should actually make $70.
