I was looking into getting some new files and noticed a lot of them on eBay but I cannot find the hard handles themselves thru snap on so I can swap out of instinct handles.

Does anyone know on here when snap on quit making them

This might help?

GJ Thread

They're not cheap. I would save the $ and buy some new Grobet files with wood handles if I were you :)

Thanks for the help but I think those numbers are only for ratchets and screwdrivers where the files have a threaded sleeve inside and spin onto the handle

They actually made a threaded file handle? Didn't know that.

If they're no longer available, I recommend "Skrooz-on" file handles.. if they're still made

Most of the old hard handle files are all made in the usa. The current files snapon sells are not made in the usa. So the older usa files bring GOOD money on ebay. A cheap alternative is the old mac hard handle files made in the usa.
