snap on has a new test light, input?

Anyone think this will actually come in handy or is it more like a gimmick? I noticed they have it listed as warrentied for 1 year. I think there other test lights are lifetime warrentied. I have not been working on cars long enough to know if this is something great or useless.

Power Probe

If you don't have a power probe get one. I don't know how I worked on electrical jobs without it. Now they have "The Hook" which looks really neat but I can't justify the price since I own a power probe and their ECT2000.

Dont bother with a $80 test light when a power probe can be had for a little over $100. The power prob can send ground and power out of it at the flick of a switch. U can also do continuity test and power soleniods with the attached lead. And its also realy long so u can go from front to back of a car with out un hooking. Show me a test light that can do all that? Those test lights are for the die hard guys that wont live in the now and toss it aside and pick up a power probe.

Nanashi... I don't know where you're from, but in England there are a few middle of the
road tool brands that sell probes that work just like the actual "Power Probe" branded tool.

If it's for occasional DIY use they are great and cost about $25..... If it's for Pro use then
the Power Probe is definitely the one to get due to the amazing positive feedback they get
from the Pro's that use them.

Any generation power probe, new or used, in working condition would generally provide more utility to its user. The add-ons (truck extender, cigarette lighter adaptor, etc...) also add more utility. That test light will serve well as a test light / voltmeter in a limited range (according to its description) which are powerful functions in the right hands. Hope that helps.
