So i just bought a "rare" dark blue 3/8 flex head dual 80 ratchet. My question is just how rare are them ratchets?

I believe dark blue was last year's father's day color and IIRC can still be ordered.

My plan was to take the handle off and put a green handle to match the rest of my SO items.

But if it were rare i would buy another one that was already green handled

they're fairly new stock so not what most would consider "rare". BUT like anything that gets discontinued, in 15-20 yrs it might be worth some beaucop money. IMHO hardly enough to warrant spending $ on a duplicate ratchet with a green handle just to keep the blue one but then again, I don't know your intent if you keep it blue....

Im gonna use green lol. I'd hate to use something that may or may not be worth anything. I'll probably just change handle

Its about as rare as green, black, orange, yellow and red. I think I even noticed some pink handles last week on the truck.

Trade to someone on here. Someone will want it just because it is rare. Offer it for trade and put exactly what you want in detail what you to trade it for. People often sell the rare stuff for a big gouge in pricing because it is rare. I would settle to cover shipping on both items and trade even but that is just me. You could sell it on eBay to get the most for it.
