as long as you are not going to overweight the thing they do just fine.
40inch or 53 inch?
The only thing that ever goes wrong are the slides. and usually that takes a few years before those wear out.
the kra5311 has been popular and the kra2306

ok good, so when my time has come for a snappy box, i think i will go the route of the heritage series. because i may need to roll it 50 feet from my shop.

and use it as i work on a machine.

thanks!

are the slides a warranty deal and they will be shipped for free when worn out?

KRA2212APCM this one is the one im looking at, the price, and measurements seem to fit my needs.

my current box is 40'' wide and 18 deep, which i like because i can move it and its pretty full, not completly, but a good amount.

is the top drawer dual slides? or no? either way is it a good box?

I think it has one set, but you can always get an extra set for about 23-28 bucks...
also the casters are not really hard plastic so it rolls smooth and quiet and they take the weight very well. I have not had to warranty one of the newer casters since they came out 3-4 years ago... what kind of price are you getting it at?

im just looking at the snap on website i think around 1800 bucks or so, im sure with delivery it would be more.

i do not have a snap on guy that comes here, although, another location of my company 10 miles away has a snap on guy, and my father's place about 30 mile from here has a snap on truck there every week...the repair fir trucks so im sure he gets a lot of business, plus i went saw that shop, each tech had a huge snap on box with plenty of add ons.

so maybe ill go that route, unless a better plan comes my way.

If I were you I'd contact the truck tool dealer vs. having the box shipped. Freight on these things is expensive and I'm sure a dealer would be glad to deliver 10-30 miles out of their way.

I'd also ask the dealer for a cash discount.

usually free shipping when you order a box through a dealer. might try registering under one of us snap on guys and see what shipping would be.... I know I can ship them for free to my customers. so it should be free off the website. let me know if oyu need any help with that...

PLEASE dont pay MSRP for a Snap On box.............sales are down and so should be prices. Nobody should have to pay full retail on Snap On in this day and age.......

If you cannot contact a dealer locally, please contact mrshaun or myself if you need to order a toolbox.

I have a KRA5311 and like it a lot (I am not a pro mechanic). I purchased mine last summer from my local SO guy. At the time, my SO guy took my phone number and said there may be some deals on toolboxes coming up if I could wait. About two weeks later he gave me a call about a deal on the KRA5311. It listed for just short $3000 and he had it on sale for about $1995. I was happy with that so I bought it.
