I recently acquired my younger brother's Snap-On boxes after he passed away. I have to keep them. The trouble is they don't offer me much over what I already have. I have a 1970's vintage Snap-On 9 drawer top box, SO three drawer middle section on top of a POS C'man lower. The top and middle units are about 15" x 26". My brother's box is what I would guess is an 80's KRA-61G top & KRA-307H bottom. The dimensions on the top are just about 15" x 31". Both sets have about the same size SO side boxes. With the loss of the three drawer section I don't gain much by moving into his boxes and in fact I lose some handy drawer space. I have been searching C'list and eBay and have not seen any 31"W drawer sections. Did Snap-On make a 15" x 31" 2 or 3 drawer middle section for these boxes?

Seems very simple to keep both boxes you can never have enough tool storage.

i'd keep em,
my only tool regret is ever selling an extra 36" wide SO roller cab and side box several years ago just cuz they were taking up space
dunno what was on my mind :dunno:

Saw that one coming but I really don't need them all.

Thanks!

i never thought back in 87 when i bought my KR550/555 i'd ever need another box either, 10 years later, just my work boxes..

even now (at home) ive got a 90th anv SO/HD box, 3 more sets of 26" wide boxes, a CM top, 4 SO sides, and an old MAC side. and still have tools laying on shelves and in storage boxes.
whoda thunk? :dunno:

If you keep them both, the emty one will fill like magic. Well... magic and money. I know this from experience.

Your toolbox drawers start to fill up, and when you get another box, things get back to normal, and then the next box starts to fill up, its a endless cycle.

even if the box is full the top will become your next space that will fill up, then the cabinet in the corner starts to hold tools, and before long so do the drawers in the kitchen,
best place to find a #2 screwdriver in my house is in the kitchen drawer.

Thanks mrshaun but I think that would fit the smaller set not the 31" wide set. Still looking to hear if Snap-On made a 31' wide by 15" deep middle section. 2 or 3 drawer would be great.

Thanks.
