Humm... Does anyone know if there's a library online with all Snap-on's new product release .pdfs?

There's a few things i want to look up and can't find. (One being the 14mm hex drain plug socket for BMW diffs.)

If you guys like the sound of plier teeth scraping against a nut, you'll love those wrenches. Myself, it's shear torture to listen to those things. :shocking:

Can't answer that but i was just on the site and saw the 100 tooth ratchet in rotohead style featured on the home page. That puppy is tempting.

Been using that same set close to 8 or 9 years and never noticed that. I'll admit I wouldn't use them on a chrome plated Harley fastener but everything else is pretty much fair game.

Why dont they post the hot tool flyers on the site ? As for the flank drive ive had them since they first came out in the early 90's never heard mine make any noise. They were a huge inprovement over the Mac wrenches of the time.I was the Cat tech at a KW dealer at the time and used the hell out of my 3/8 combo in 3 months time i spread the open end out on 6 wrenches.Rounded off countless nut's and bolts never had the problem after switching. Have worn the chrome off the 3/8 but never spread the jaw or wore the flank's off .

Anything else good in the flyer? Dealer had the wrench deal on Tuesday but he didn't drop off any flyers by us.

What stuff were you using your 3/8 on that much? Even my 10mm doesn't get that much use (my wrenches in general don't see that much work)

there's a line of FINE PRINTS at the bottom of the flyer:

"participation franchises only......."

I think the reason Snap On doesn't publish these flyers is to let the individual dealer to decide paticipating or not based on the market of his/her own.

t100 you got it. also your screen name means 1/4 x20 tap in snap on language.

if you do not have a lot of guys who use metric FDP ( aviation customers and motorcycle guys) then that promo is not a great deal for you. I only ordered 3 and after two weeks I still have one left.

3406B cat engines have mostly 3/8 bolts the turbo mtg nut's were limited axcess and had to use the open end also using with an impact and holding the nut or bolt would spread the jaws.

I keep debating about the Flank Drive set, right now just use the Craftsman Pro and Raised Pannel ones and worry at times if get the SO ones how bad they can tear up the fastners. Never owned and SO wrenches and love to try these but still on the fence.

I see. Was just curious on what was killing wrenches so fast.

I have been using Flank drive since they came out, whenever that was with no noises and no rounded bolts or nuts. To each his own.

I work on garbage trucks so if I damage a nut, visually, nobody cares. Can't say as though I have ever had that problem though. I use my FDP wrenches all the time. We only use grade 8 bolts, nuts, etc so that may be part of it.

other than the Snap On FDP, I have Williams and Gearwrench with similar open end design, all work great.
