Been lookin into some 1/2 impact sockets deep up to 32mm are the snap on ones worth the money? Il be using them daily and my old set is a mix up and some are well worn or broke.
Thanks

If you use them every day,I'd go with a company with the best or easiest warranty, who ever it may be.A majority of mine are from Napa because I can warranty them daily and they typically stock most all of them. Beats waiting a week.

I have snap on deep 6pts up to 24mm and sunex up to 36mm, there is a difference with the snap ons and even after quite a bit of use over the years, they still seem to hold a tighter tolerance around a bolt than some domestic chrome sockets. My sunex sockets are pretty great too, and at a fraction of the price although they have a noticeably thicker wall than the snap ons which can get in the way at times

Buy a set of Williams. They are exactly the same as Snap-On, made in the same factory on the same presses, for a fraction of the price.

Edit: I would like to note that 95% of my tools are SO. I like giving my SO rep my business and he treats me very well. The ease of warranty and high quality is my draw to SO.

To answer your question is it worth it?

I have tons of SO stuff, but I think for a deeps impact set like that, I thought Sunex was a much better VALUE for what I use them for. I'm very pleased with Sunex for the money.

Undoubtedly, the SO set is of higher overall quality, but I'm sure you have other tools you could better use the savings on. You can buy individual SO ones if you find you are burning up one or 2 sizes all the time and still have lots of cash left over. ( I did exactly that with my SAE deeps. I bought a MAC 3/4 and 15/16 , left the complete set of Sunex in my box for all of the other sizes when needed)

I have had SO 1/2 impact sockets, 3/8-1 1/2, and 10mm to 26mm, for about 35 years. I replaced the 15/16 socket once. That's it. I use them a lot.

The impacts are very very VERY nice. Very expensive though. I bought the 10-24mm short and deep sets for $400 used a few years ago, great investment.
