snap-on industrial finish?

I am surprised it took this long to see Wiha mentioned. Also surprised that nobody has suggested Facom. People that own them say they are easily on par with the snappys. You can find good deals on them on ebay too since they don't say SnapOn.

Hey, those do look nice!! It seems like it would be a big shock to go from the stand C-man clear handles to these fancy ergo handles. I'm afraid I would get too spoiled if I bought these Facoms.

I'd choose the industrial finish over the chrome ones. there's no finish to chip or wear. we had an old industrial Snap-on screwdriver at my old shop, we abused it and it took it. i was very impressed with the finish, and when the time comes i'll be buying an industrial finish set.

I've had more problems with chrome rusting then I have my industrial finish stuff.
A light oiling on occasion is all they ever needed.

i have mac hardhandel that i bought in the early 90s that i used every day
no problems at all,i think they are allmost as nice to use as my snappy hardhandels,but you guys have alot of brands to chose from

Have some photos of older industrial finish S-O stuff we've got that unfortunately, I just deleted

A lot of it has held up well. I might give the edge to Cooper's Apex sockets though. The finish on those is pretty damn tough. I've probably got 100 of the same sockets lying around and they're really good and get absolutely no cleaning/wipe down.

I like the old industrial finish offered by SO in the past on most of their tools, they make for great identifiers visually and physically. ( back pocket type stuff)

Truth is, the industrial finish is tougher and stronger than the chrome in every way. Not as purty though; they just don't finish it to the same jewelry standard the chrome stuff usually gets. I like it better though. And I own more than 100 industrial pieces. It rocks.

My SO driver has a set of the GOEX in SAE and they're damn nice. Older models. I wish I had an excuse (or could afford) to buy them.

You really think it's stronger? What's the finish? It's just black ox. right? I love the old Snappy chrome. That was nice. I got some of the new chrome and it ain't the same.

I've only been using my industrial finish tools for thirty-five years, so I can't really speak to how well they'll hold up over the long run. So far, so good.
