Wow! A serious step backwards on this site. Not only does the navigation ****, but all of the details about the product are gone. It looks like one of those off the shelf generic scam looking websites now.

I haven't seen Snap-On's new site as descibed above but as a webdesigner I know there is pressure for sites to not only achieve higher search engine ranking with redesigns, but also pressure to create sites that are mobile friendly. Mobile friendly websites need to be able to be downloaded quickly so a bare bones approach is best in that situation.

This is one thing I also use. I was looking for an air chuck that was made in usa and that COO feature is the only thing that helped.
I also noticed that the blue point is mixed in with everything else now.

oOk looks like they fixed the country of origin issue atleast on the items I was looking at.

I've seen a little bit of research that wish lists encourage waiting on sales and otherwise "not buying now."
One of my previous favorite clothing retailers did away with theirs, so I know your pain. But I wouldn't expect it to be back if they're doing "what's best for business.
The wish list function is still there, the existing lists people had just didn't make the transfer.

The old SO site had a link to "new items". No link on the new site. Although the new items area (on the old site) had not been updated since July or August.
Now I'm wondering about the Snap-on catalogs. Never were 2013 catalogs available for order online (probably due to the Cornwell lawsuit). Customer Service Rep told me last week that the rep's were all given a 2012 catalog to take home. He stated that this is usually an indication that a new catalog is about to be released.

I was on the Snap-On truck today and even my dealer was having fits trying to find part numbers and navigating that site. He was playing it cool but I could tell it was ******* him off. He gave up and went for the catalog.
Here is a little trick I remembered to use:
Websites are archived on a regular basis. One such archiving site is waybackmachine. I used this website to pull up the Snap On website from OCT 21, 2013, before the changes.
You can visit the old version of the site: http://web.archive.org/web/20131021225957/http://www.snapon.com/
EDIT* I tried exploring the site, but found the catalog is not archived
I don't think ordering will work, but I only cared about looking up tools. Hope this helps people's issues a little, but this is just a band-aid to the problem!

One thing i liked with the old site was finding what sets individual pieces were from. So i need a SIMM340 socket and it shows its also in the gm axle nut set. Great right? Nope. I click it and.....nothing happens. No idea how much or what the part number is

I tried to leave them some feedback tonight after multiple failed attempts to find something on the new site and even that was a ***********. Took several attempts to get it to go through without an error message or some other ****.

You should all move to canada and use the "old" website
I liked that feature too on the old site. like if you clicked on a set it listed all of the links to the individual pieces in the set. now you might get part numbers but unless you want to copy and paste each part number into the search bar you are SOL on knowing what each part is. this wierd thing is if you google a snap on part number it still brings me to the old site.

ah ****. they made it worse. before it was quick to find something via manual search. the old quick search was a joke though.

Indeed a BIG let down that this is no longer there.
Finding a set is a slow process if not impossible.
Again, they took something that was OK and ruined it.
Reminds me of our new health care system.

I will say the last time I attempted to place an order on the "old" site 6 months ago, it error messaged and was never placed.
So maybe that's no longer an issue!
