image.jpgI bought this Snap-on knife today and it needs sharpening. I was wondering if any one knows the angle to sharpen it at.

It’s still not that bad of a knife for being China. Honestly, it’s pretty strong.
Plenty of good imported knives. I was disappointed when I first found out CRKT knives are import, but they are still really great quality.

To the original question, I've just hit the point of running mine through one of the double edge pocket sharpeners if I can't just bring the edge back with a steel. Too easy to do versus messing with the angle and a whetstone nowadays.

Some Chinese made knives are excellent. Though, I'd be skeptical of a "Snap-On" knife if I'm honest. Seems you'd be likely paying a significant premium for the name printed on the side of it rather than the tool or materials, in this case. I very highly recommend Civivi knives. I recently bought a Civivi Lumi, was $50, you get excellent fit/finish, micarta scales, ceramic bearings, and 14C28N steel. Phenomenal for the money. Sitivian Knives are excellent as well. They're pretty much all in the $25-$30 price range, and either have D2 or 14C28N for the most part.

This is the Lumi. I actually bought 2 of them and swapped the scales. They dont offer Micarta scales with an uncoated blade. So just bought two and made it happen anyways.
