That is a good thought. Maybe I will keep chemicals in it over in the addition. I probably have a piece of sheet metal or aluminum diamond plate I can rivet over all those holes.I have 2; paid $15 for the one that needed repainting, $50 for the one that was clean. Use them to hold spray cans.
I'd guess it was belting out good Hymn Book favorites based on the stickers on the door. I'd hate to work somewhere people were blasting out hymns.Yes, without a doubt someone had a car stereo and 6x9 speakers in it.

There is a thread on GJ about using old cabinets like this for storage. I think the original post was an electrical box that was made into a wall cabinet. I’ll look later and see if I can find it.That is a good thought. Maybe I will keep chemicals in it over in the addition. Holes are right sized for about a first generation cassette player car stereo.I'm assuming the squares on table top are about 6" so depth of cabinet is 9-10"? The cut out at top looks off to me for a 2-post car radio. Center cutout looks way too big.
I found this vintage Alpone with equalizer but the location for posts would be near bottom.
Then started thinking 8-track or possibly a two-way radio. Found this old Pioneer am/fm with cb radio looks like it might fit the cutout.
Ah the 1970s....
I was using it for grinder storage and grind wheels. Once I built the welding table, they all went there. There is a thread on GJ about using old cabinets like this for storage.
