Hello, this is my first post here, long time lurker (like 2 years), registered a few days ago, so I can see all the pictures.

I am working on a KR-352 Roll Cabinet (1958). I identified it by following links from this site. I have managed to get 4 of the 6 drawer slides straightened to the point of very usable. But 2 are beyond repair. According to the collecting snap on website PN 8-1257 is the same profile as what I need. But PN 8-657 "might" work as well if they are cut down to length. I asked the CS Support at Snap On this question 2 weeks ago, but...

Are the two part numbers 8-1257 and 8-657 the same profile? Also, what are the lengths of the two part numbers? I have searched everywhere I know to look without any avail.

I have completed a restoration of a 1964 Craftsman box thanks to this site, and would like to get the KR-352 in nice working order.

Thank you,
Flattie

I finally found a set of very usable drawer slides. Jonnybentwrench had a perfect pair on the bay. For less than an Andy Jackson I have (2) almost like new slides. I installed them this weekend, and now all 3 drawers are smooth as butter. Next step is to weld a coupld of the tracks that are on the drawers. Looks like way to many years of overloading have taken its toll on them. I will post pics in the Vintage toolbox thread when complete
