I'm looking for some help fellas. I purchased what I believe is an early KR1000. I took out all the drawers and sliders. Took a good long time with all the sliders and a parts washer to get all the old grease out. I found what I believe was a pile of the disintegrated bump stops and detents. I emailed Accuride and they gave me these part numbers and asked how many I need of each. The box is in constant use so it is already back together for use until I get the proper replacement parts. Does anyone know what model the sliders are or have a diagram of them?! I am thinking there are 4-5 rubber/plastic components per slider. I'm not sure what each slider needs and where it's located. And I know I'm probably fishing, but what's the chances of someone having a Breakdown Diagram of a KR1000?! Thanks in advance, Jason Smith 🙂

Nice post! I am glad Accuride is still supplying bumpers. I called them last Wednesday but was unable to get a call back. So needing to get my tool chest re-assembled, I purchased a bag of them off of Amazon. $9.90 with shipping for 25 of them (they included 5 extra).

I also had to buy a new pair of slides for the tool chest. As not the original owner, I did not qualify for free replacement. Pretty expensive (~$150 with $20 shipping and $5 handling). The replacement slides are not even marked as being Accuride.

The new bumpers supplied by Snap-on are shown on the left, the ones I purchased from Amazon on the right. While the rubber stiffness feels the same, the Amazon detents (Accuride clones) had twice the detention retention force as the new styles Snap-on detents.

There's a couple relevant posts on this forum with regard to Accuride drawer hardware, with descriptions of the parts needed.

And--specifically post #27

Note that there's a fair chance that Snappy will warranty the drawer slides. You could ask. HOWEVER, I think the "new replacements" are not made by Accuride; so maybe you want to cogitate on whether you want to rejuvenate your genuine Accuride items, or get new-but-generic slides from Snappy.
