Snap-on KRA2007 Facelift

I recently rescued a Snap-on KRA2007 that had been used in a fab shop for several years. Surface rust gone, dents taken care of, primed and finally painted. The final step was to add faux stainless steel drawer top protectors. I used sign vinyl that I sourced from my sons sign shop. I have a butcher block top but I have not taken any photos with it installed. An inexpensive upgrade for a base model tool cab.

Looks really good!!! Can you post a close up picture of the drawer tops you did?? That may be just the ticket for my KRA4107 rejuvenation. Sorry just noticed the close up picture now. Wheels are turning now.

Thank you! It's easy after you've practiced on several pieces. I have applied quite a number of vinyl protectant on vehicles in the collision business and have developed a successful method. Any surface you apply the vinyl to has to be blemish free or even the smallest specks of dirt will show up. I have a solution I use to apply the film and position it where I want it and another solution that I use that washes away the application solution allowing the vinyl to adhere. A smooth flexible squeegee helps tremendously.

I wanted to duplicate the look of my larger KRL box with stainless trim without the cost. I also applied clear vinyl to the fronts of the drawers and cab corners for added protection. A little overboard but I thought it pay off down the road.
