Snap-on kra300 box

My wife went to a auction around a month ago and called me to come pick up stuff she had got with the truck. Come to find out she pick me up this little gemstone. Alittle rough but I m planning on restoring it. Don’t mind the missing drawers. I started taking them out before I took pictures. However it is the 300b which didn’t come with all drawers. If anybody has any please let me know.

Oh I forgot to say. Wife got a real sweet deal. 25bucks!

A full-drawer KRA300 for $25 is a steal deal. Mine, and most I see have the open **** catcher at the bottom instead of the two deep drawers.

I like it. Bought mine in 1979. Didn't have the bottom drawer which I ordered separately. As I recall thats the way it was I the catalog at that time (no bottom drawer). Bought a similar box a few tears later without the drop front. You'd be surprised how much more room you have with ought that front. Still have them all, full of tools.

That KRA 300D was an obsession of mine for a good many years before I got it. No one else had that drop front. Traded two Mac boxes in on it.
My new desire is a Hazet 162N.

Guess I've never seen a KRA300 without the tambour front. Stands to reason it would consume a few cubic inches. Since mine is used at home, I can't remember the last time I saw the aluminum tambour.

So to recap, the KRA 300 was made with and without the two bottom drawers, with steel tambour, aluminum tambour and no tambour and some with chrome accents on the pull handles?

Got a chance to do alittle disassembly and cleaning this past weekend.

Got the rest of the drawers out. Definitely in need of new sliders. My local snap on man said he ll give me replacements under warranty.

Was able to get into the back after drawers were out. Was able to pull and push door down. Lol was the first time I saw the door at all!

After removing the six rivets on the door channels I was able to take the door out and take a good look at her. Wow def needs a good cleaning

Not to bad for 1964 aluminum. Steel wool and wd40 is a powerful thing lol.

Well that’s the progress I ve made. More to come. Reminder if anyone has any drawers for the bottom hit me up.
