I am thinking about getting a KRA5311 Electric Orange, I was wondering what everyone’s opinions were of the box? Also interested to see any pictures of the box (any color), and pictures of the drawers loaded.

i love that box and color. I just couldn't justify the price! :-(

After using the Harbor Freight 56" box on a daily basis, I found out that it just cant stand up to the abuse. The bearings are going out in the drawer slides and one of the locks gets stuck sometimes, and its less than a year old. Also my work offers a tool account program where we can get up to $3500 in tools with 0% interest, just a repayment out of your check weekly. We have a Snap-on Industrial guy that comes in every week or so, we get 25% off of almost everything and the Snap-on guy said he is pretty sure he can get me the box for around $1956.

You might check out the KRL1056. It has a little bit more cubic inch capacity than the KRA5311 does. The drawers are real deep.

Hi all, I basically joined just to ask a few questions about this box. I am considering ordering one of these but am torn between this and the classic 78. Price is a big concern to me, where this one is over a thousand dollars cheaper than the classic, but also the lower drawers are a couple inches wider than those of the classic 78. This would allow me to store prybars the long way across the drawer. So i guess the question i'm asking is do you ever wish you had the extra 4 inches of depth that this box doesn't offer? This is the only thing thats holding me back from making the purchase.

The kra5311 is not close to the kra2411 or classic78. Deeper drawers, wider box, taller, beefier. Buy it.

I too like the kra 5311 because it fits my budget and needs. The classic 78 is almost 5grand new and this is less than half. The only downside is a few inches of depth, I can live with that. Trying to find a used one for sale... Not easy....

I couldn't justify that box at that cost. Numerous used krls cheaper out there. Although I do understand needing to make payments. I just bought a brand new krl1022(way better quality and space) for about 3200 brand new off the truck. That would still fit in your no interest price range. I also couldn't spend the 2k your looking at without seeing the box in person first.

Bringing this thread back from the dead, but what would be a fair price for one of these boxes in black? I have a chance to pick one up, but have no idea how to price it...
