I hate to do it, but I have a nice KRL 1000 Snap On toolbox that is up for sale. This is a professional box. It is used and has signs of use but is in great overall condition. Sadly, I need the $$ more than I need this beauty of a roller cabinet. This is arguably the best box snap-on made in quite some time.

I will include an extra drawer slide and new wheel assembly with the box. If you ever need a spare. Looking for $2500 obo

What are the dimensions of this box? Is it basically an older version of the current 1022? Thanks

kr1000 the logo on the front of the box is on the left side and only 1 key tumbler. 1st model released in mid 80's.

kr1000a and kr1000b, the logo is on the right side of the box and 2 key tumblers.

In some ways I prefer this box to my KRL1001B. The drawer height and spacing is less wasteful. Nice box.

I really like it too. I won't be sad if I keep it:thumbup:

I've got the same box with a maple butcher block top on it. Absolutely crammed full of snap on tools.

I wouldn't trade my box for a new one..the KRL1000s from back in the day are awesome boxes.

If you can swing it financially I'd keep it, you'll never replace it.

OhioAuto,

I think that is going to be my plan. Thanks for the advice. I've sold a few other things that will allow me to keep this box. I'll leave this thread up for a few more days, then I'm putting my tools back in.

I appreciate the recent interest. Right after I listed it I started using this box in my shop and decided it is too nice to give up!

If the mods suggest, I'll delete the thread but I think it is good info for someone reasearching.
Best Regards.
