Snap-On KRL 1001 Questions

Hi,

After much searching I finally picked up this KRL 1000 box for $1200. I think I overpaid but I was sick of searching. It has some surface rust and the slides were kinda stiff. It's missing some of the liners and some of the roll lock are missing or broken. The corner guard on the front right is dented. One of the small drawers needs to have the edge piece replaced.

The Snap-on site is not very good for locating parts. They don't list parts for the KRL 1001. I found the roll locks on the Snap-On web site for $4.00 each. I think I found the drawer liners too.

Does anyone know if the corner guard is universal - Will the one from a 7022 fit?

I'd appreciate any advie I can get. I've read most of the repair/restoration posts. Some of you are way more talented then I'll ever be. Thansk in advance.

7022 corner guard will be 4" too short, get one for any 1000 series, 1022,1023,1032, 1056, etc

Pic doesn't show, and is it a KRL 1001 or a KRL 1000? Picked up a KRL 1001 a couple months ago. Mine was a little beat up, not as bad as yours. Scrubbed all the liners with Castrol Super Clean, came out like brand new. Found the Rustoleum 2X Apple Red is an exact match to the Snap On red, if yours is red.

The Snap-on parts site is not user friendly.
Anyone know the part number for the corner guard?
How about which liner kit fits?
