Slammed, dropped, and the drawers are damaged. I think I'd pass.

well, I will be in Dallas in a week so if anyone in the northeast buys it I can get it back to Ohio or somewhere in between for fairly cheap.

"cosmetic flaws"?? It looks like it fell off a flatbed truck.

Still a decent deal if someone wants to spend some time straightening it.

That's what I was thinking. I can't afford it but if I could I would make the Guy an offer. That is a lot of tool box and if you know a good snappy dealer you could probably work something out for drawers and slides maybe even the handle.

Ha, thats a $2000 box at most now, she aint no virgin anymore. I had a friend who bought a KRA2007 in a yardsale that had been hit by a car in the dudes garage, like 3 of the top drawers wouldnt open. They sold it to him for $10.

Have you guy priced the cost of a new Snap-on KRL drawers? You could pay a couple of grand just on replacement drawers here. Then add the cost of the side handle.

THEN you get into the bodywork. Most of the bent areas are folded over metal where youy can't get to the back. So there's a good amount of bodywork here, assuming you could even get it right. And when you paint the repaired side, even assuming you get the exact PPG Snap-on Red paint code, it will not match all that well. Bottom line, it's hard to match a powder coat finish with a paint finish. I have had body work done on a red Snap-on locker using the exact paint code, and while it looked pretty good, (and much improved from the damage I had), the finish never looked quite the same. It's just a different kind of finish.

So the price may look like a bargain, buy this box will never be 100% no matter how much effort you put in. As far as the tools, you'd have to see what's there. If it's jammed with Snap-on tools, $6,500 for them could be a home run. If it's sparsely filled, or filled with Craftsman, not so great.

I'd offer 2500 for it and be able to fix at least 80% or better.

It rolled around quite a bit in the moving van during the move. The right side where the side handle is mounted is bashed in real bad. That bottom corner by the caster is damaged quite a bit too. And the drawers have been hit hard. I would say the damage is NOT repairable.
