Bought another tool box the other day. Gloss black krl722 with blue trim. After doing some research it appears they were a custom offer from a few years ago. I do like the black and blue combo. I didn't see the combo on the website and don't have a dealer currently so I'm in the dark on this. Does anyone know if the blue trim is still available? Was thinking to the future of adding a top box or side cabinet but afraid I may not be able to get the matching trim or corner guards. Was hoping to just find a used black cabinet or top and add the blue items to match. Only other choice is to remove the blue and make it look like a regular black KRL.

If not I'm sure you could always colour match the blue and paint regular trim blue. I like the black and blue a lot. Congrats.

Take a sample piece off and take it to a powder coater, I am sure that is what SO did.

I have a Blue KRL like that and was looking for a cover to hide the ugly gap from the side locker. I think I will look at something in black.

If your willing to paint the trim any Sherwin Williams will custom match the blue I'm a industrial or a automotive paint with a clear coat I'd think it would hold up very well.

They should be available as a custom order using the 3 letter suffix after KRL722.

You are correct about the fact that these were a special offering to dealers at an SFC several years ago.

Thanks for the comments and help. I do really like the combo. I tried to get some up close pictures of the trim. I did find some rattle can paint that is suppose to be anodized blue. Thinking about buying a can and seeing how close it is.
