Snap On Krl722 Locked please help

Hi i lost my keys about a month ago, my box is in my garage and i dont get to see a snap on truck regularly unless I so happen to be visiting a buddy who has a shop. Long story short, i gave the snap on guy the key code and its been 2 weeks and nothing. My patience ran out today and i went to the local locksmith he adviced to just drill out lock. So i did. Now the locking system sounds like its moving but the drawers wont open. Now what?

Stick a screwdriver in the drilled hole and see if you can turn the lock
If not drill a little bigger and try again

Well the screw driver is what im using to turn the locking mechanism. And you can hear it moving like its turning but its not unlocking drawers. If i keep drilling then how would i turn the locking mechanism?

If that doesn't work I think I'd keep drilling. Just my .02

Yea im gonna try the sheet metal trick tomorrow, if it works ill have to remove drawers and see where it came loose and put a new lock.
