Hi all, figured I would post this to help anyone looking to add a side tray to their krsc326. I couldn’t find where snap on makes one for our carts so I stopped at hf and picked up their lime green tray for the 5 drawer us general. I gotta say the green is almost a dead match for the snap on extreme green.
It can be done to where it looks like it was made for our carts. First thing I did was pop of the corner guards. Then measure out the hole distance from the handle bolt holes on the lrs and transfer them to where you want them on the tray. I wanted my tray top to line up with the seam on the krs above the bolt holes so I measure the height of my holes to that distance. Once you install the tray then take your corner guard and place it in the holes that hold it on but don’t shove it in and attach it. You need to mark the upper and lower spots where it hits the tray then take a cutoff wheel and slice in to the point where the guard goes from the angle to the flat area where they say snap on. Then flip the guard over and there are like 3 or 4 ribs sticking up. Use a die grinder and grind them flat in the same distance. I did that so I wouldn’t have to cut the reinforcing lips off the side of the tray. It’s a fairly easy mod to do. I hope this helps someone out as I was looking on the net and couldn’t find anything(unless I just missed it. Anyhow, here is the finished product.
