Snap On KRSC430 Modification

Hi all,

I am looking to purchase one of these KRSC430 split top roll carts:

My dealer can get me one for £800 less than the list price and needs ordering ASAP as matt extreme green is being discontinued (i have confirmed with Snap on)

I want to mount a Monitor to the rear of it very much like the Zeus/Intelligent diagnostic work stations which use i believe a 32" cart ?

As you can see in the picture the mount is bolted to the cart.....

Could anyone get me a pic of a KRSC430 similar area so i can check if i can mount the monitor mount ? I Know i will have to drill holes in it and put nut inserts in which is fine, just need to make sure it'll work before i pull the trigger.

Here is the monitor mount on the scanner station and the back of the krsc split top. You will have to drill some holes for the monitor mount but it wouldn't be a big deal.

Thank you so much, that is exactly what i needed. The KRSC430 appears to be the exact same at the mounting point in terms of layout just minus the holes and the reinforcing plate.

I can easily make a plate to go there to spread to load and just nut and bolt the mount.

Shame the mount is £500

Does anyone know the Acer model#? I’m trying to find one that will mount correctly to the snap on mount. Thank you

That def looks like an option. I’ll contact them about availability. My snap on guy has the mount for 300. So I’ll see what’s quicker. also by chance do you know what acer monitor they use for that set up?? Thanks again.

Email him direct though, Jarhead stuff is very popular in the diag community.

Try the "diag cart nation" group via Facebook, somebody will know exactly what your looking for as those carts are very popular in that group, there's plenty of debate about touch screen monitors vs TVs etc.

They have 2 monitor types on the slide top based on age of the unit. I do not have the older monitor number but I can grab the one off my split top tomorrow. Also, the flip lid cart has a smaller monitor to work in the space available. I'll post that up as well tomorrow.
