that does not look right. it's going to be a hassle, but I'd tell Snap-on to replace it.

Those are supposed to be threaded 1/4''-20.

Make sure you put some oil on the bolts.

The side panels are removable. They make an adapter side to put additional accessories on. Hopefully the side is not, in the correct position, and is able to be adjusted. If you have a Snapon guy, they usually will do it for you. Maybe a Snapon guy on here can chime in and explain how the sides can move. I don't know but I am interested in that same cart. I can get $300-400 hundred off (forgot exactly how much) on a yellow one. I figure if have to look it frequently then I should get a color I like. Yellow is not my color. Good luck. I was told that a 4 inch drawer, could be changed, to two 2 inch drawers. The Snapon guy offered to change that too, actually install it. Good luck.

You should be able to get 300 off any color if not more. I do know some dealers try to just strong arm you into full retail though. Usually if you tell them the Mac or Matco guy is gonna give you a better deal they start to negotiate

I had the snap on flier open on my toolbox to the Tool boxes they are showing this month and the Matco guy saw it and started asking me what Kinda box I want, I can make you a great deal, etc etc. he was nervous about losing a tool box sale apparently and those are high profit items for dealers

Heck yeah they are high profit items. Especially when the KRSC46 costs about $1600 off the truck and they are about $800 on the student discount page. You know Snap On is still making a profit off that student price.
