I just received a second Snap-on L-67 ratchet and was surprised to find a difference in the top plate on the ratchet head. One is flat and one has a plateau. It seems like every picture on line of the L-67 ratchet has a flat head design so I was surprised to receive one that does not. I thought I'd post pics and see if anyone else has one with the plateaued top plate on the side of the switcher. The steel on both looks to be the same tool steel as the ratchet body so it seems like they are factory. Thanks

I have not seen one like that. Does either one have a date code on the knob end of the handle.

I don't see any date codes on the bottom of the ratchet handles. Adding a few close up pics of the ratchets.
