Even with the knurled 19" handle or the 36" handle, it comes in at less than a Wright 42" ratchet.

Splurge a little or bide your time on eBay.

I figured that I would have to pony up for a new one, but I'm just trying to save a buck.

Still a pretty good deal.

I didn't look at the part #s, but make sure your set matches. Either both old or both new, because....

OLD = 13/16" OD on Handles / ID of ratchet head & swivel
NEW = 15/16" OD on Handles / ID of ratchet head & swivel

So, they are NOT compatible. (Ask me how I know. lol)

I have an extra 36" 15/16" handle I may trade for other Snappy tools. (I'm close to you..you got that Matco ratcheting screwdriver off me a year or two ago)

The only other option would be to get a length of 13/16 or 15/16 silver steel (I'm assuming you have that readily available in the U.S.) clean up the ends, and use that! Although it's not the way the manufacturers do it, you can buy the ball detent as a complete component (most are swiss made). Simply drill a small hole where you want it and push fit the detent!

You could even chrome plate the thing, but add the cost of the steel, the work, the necessary polishing, and the plating (it's charged by the lb here in he U.K. so 3/4 drive is costly) and the Snap On part is looking like a better buy!

Hey Dave, I'm interested in a trade. I'll check the size when I receive the ratchet.
