This 3/4 ratchet and breaker handle is bothering me. The smaller end fits the 3/4 ratchet or breaker head but the other is clearly made for something else to attach to it with the locking button. I can’t find anything, at first I thought it was the 1” drive ratchets but their handles are 1-1/8. Ideas?

The 13/16" end will fit the older L72 series ratchet heads and I assume earlier breaker bar heads, while the 15/16" end will fit the newer L872 ratchet head and L8112A breaker bar head. I think the only currently produced product that needs the 13/16" diameter part of the L872H bar is the L52B T-Handle head, but I do not have that part to confirm.

You got it all right. L52B(T handle), L72T(previous model ratchet), as well as the old breaker bar attachment of the same era all take the 13/16 handle.
Not sure if they left half the bar 13/16 for retrofitting the L72 or to avoid making new dies for the L52B but it works out for both parts.
