Just got this off the truck on thursday, it is probably the last worklight i will ever buy/need. Single bar LED, light as a feather, rechargeable, high and low setting. Battery life is 4 hours on high and 8 on low. It is so damn bright i will probably only ever use the low setting.

What is the model of that light? Don't think I've seen it before.

How long does it operate before needing a recharge?

Doing some searching through some SO documentation I find the manufacturer is Zhejiang Xinghai Energy Technology. Now all we need is to find a Zhejiang distributor.

Yep traded in my old snappy led $50 credit and bought two of them...they are great, less run time then the old LED but super bright....189.90ea was a bit much but all in all I love them and really like the fact the handle is Black this time instead of red...every week I would be wiping the grease off my old one before I put it in the charger

You are one of the first to own that, I didnt know those even made it onto trucks yet. Does anyone at your shop own an ECFLED68 to compare it to? LEDs are becoming pretty impressive, I just got the CTLED6818 and it lights up my whole front yard! (LED light that fits onto the 18v cordless battery)

Biomed- The battery last 4 hours on the high setting and 8 hours on the low setting, but it is bright enough on low that you really dont need high.

Ironhorse- You bought two at $189?! This one was $120 with no trade-in.

tjmonsen- I believe i am one of the first, yes. No one at my shop owns a snapon light. We all have streamlight stingers as inspection flashlights and a couple of the guys have the stinger light pipe they use as worklights.

I have the previous Uview version which I like a lot. Did you happen to notice if it was made in Canada? Guessing it was since it looks to be the same UView light bar.

Does it still charge from a cradle or does it simply use a plug-in DC adapter now?

I doubt Zhejiang Xinghai Energy Technology is in Canada. Actually they are located here: Taihu Road Eco & Tec Development zone Changxing County Zhejiang, China.

No cradle. a plug-in AC/DC adapter is supplied. it plugs in at the bottom end of the light, where the power switch is.

I dont know where it was made, i dont tend to research something like this before i buy it. But i can look at the box tomorrow and tell you.

That company seems to be the primary maker of the Li-ion batteries. It doesn't look like the maker of the light itself.

Hope you're wrong because the old version, ECFSP200A, was made in Canada by the same people who make the iview. That light bar technology is unique to them. If you're finding a Chinese company manufacturer then either the company is recently Chinese owned or some company in china ripped it off and Snap-On went with the rip-off

This would make a lot more sense.

Yes this makes more sense especially since they call themselves an "Energy Technology" company.

Snapon.com has that part number listed as COO of CHN. I'm going to say that isn't canada.... 129 for list price.

Damn. That's a ton of money.

10 dollar floor light (actually I have a second one I paid 5 bucks for at a garage sale) plus I get to do shadow puppets on my neighbors' house.

Yes well you cant really stick that up inside a inaccessible engine bay to work in a tight spot.

Um...bro do you know how light works? Bing bang boom reflection-matic.

I get something like 40-50 feet of light out of floor work lights. No jonesing. I'm not saying you got ripped but yeah led don't really do that. Not for 10 bucks and probably not for snap on overpriced chinese **** price.:willy_nil

They just came out with it. model is ECFBARLED

Looks like a fantastic light. Guys can hate all they want, but there are few things that aggravate me more than a hot light in an engine bay. Trouble lights, floor lights, they all run hot. That looks like a great solution to that problem. And 8 hours on low is respectable. Recharge every few days, that's not bad.

Thanks. Looks like they sell replacement hooks etc so that's good. Nothing worse than breaking hooks and not being able to replace them. Only thing I wish it had was a magnet.

They seem to make lights, it you dig around the web. Nothing impressive as this one though. Snap On probably contracted with them to manufacture, maybe exclusively.

Under hood I don't think anything beats the output of the Mountain UL39, corded, but I don't have that much of an issue with a cord on a bright light.

Light looks great. Don't let the others get you down. It's not for a casual home user. This is a pro level everyday use light with a company and network of drivers to stand behind it. It is made for real convenient use

Anyone compare one of these to the Milwaukee M12 Stick light? It's got 3 LEDs and I like the size. Bought dad one for Christmas. 80 bucks for the light, already have the batteries if you own M12 stuff. I had to get him a charger and battery, $135 all in and the battery will work with other tools he might want. I'll get one someday.

I wished it had a magnet too, so bought one. Now its the total package.

I definitely got this because i was tired of my corded drop light with a CFL in it. Its easy to move around from car to car without having to relocate the cord. Every second counts.

Yeah Todd, my dealer tried selling me one of the older ones but i told him thats not bright enough, "my idea of bright is when i look at it, it hurts my eyes" He says "well, this one over here just came out", The rest of the story you know.

I dont know too much about Milwaukee products other than the older techs swear by them.

I just got one of these today for $129. You can never have enough lights, I have a bluepoint tube style LED, the underhood light, and a bluepoint square one with a strong magnet. An a large assortment of various flashlights. I haven't got a chance to truly use this one though but it is bright. I like the option of clipping on the second hook to hang it horizontally. I noticed on mine though the switch seems to be wired backwards. The single dash is high and the double dash is low. Is yours like this also?

yeah the double dash is low on mine. I actually tested the battery life on mine today, kept it on low all day (9 hours), was still on when i clocked out. Not bad. I dropped it today as well, from about 6 1/2 feet, didnt bother it at all.

with the performance that light puts out 120 is not gouging expensive. im not lining up to buy one but the c9st is reasonable considering the run time.

Am I the only one that is confused here?

Is the photo that Ironhorse posted of another new Snap-on light or one that he has had for a while?

He said his older one had red hande and he liked the black one better. (as pictured)

Mr.3-5-7 posted the first one and Ironhorse said he just bought two. Then he posted a photo of a different light altogether.

Please clarify.

Iron horse posted a light that has been around for a while and is very bright.. And expensive.
Mr 357 has the brand new one decently affordable.

wow, never seen that one before. I would probably prefer to have that one just for the cradle capability.

Anyway here is a picture of it with the magnet clip. Super strong magnet. It is meant for regular flashlights but this works with my worklight.

How durable are these? And what kind of warranty do they have?

I could use one of these things every day.

Well, ive dropped mine 3 times now from above 6 feet.

As to what kind of warranty, i think its got a 30 day. after that you have to buy the parts. But i had my dealer do some research before buying it and it looks like the most expensive part is the light assembly and its $33. I can justify that, not sure about you guys.

Man, i take to every car i work on. I hop around between 3 bays and i just love how portable it is.
