I bought this baby off eBay and I probably paid too much for it but I really wanted it. I've never seen another one like it. The quality is really nice but I'm not sure if it's tool steel under the chrome plating? Anyone have any info on this one?

They also made that with an instinct driver handle. Gimmick promo for the dealers. They are out there, but not common for sure. As far as what it is made of might have to google it or call snappy. I do know the pen and pencil sets are plastic coated ceramic. BTW may I inquire as to how much you paid????

Not bad, I got a pencil set with driver and wrench pen/pencil tshirt and 2 hats for 35 off the bay. Unique, and serves an actual purpose.

Thanks for not making me feel too bad. :D I still really like it and the quality is there, so I'm still happy with the purchase.

Nothing to feel bad about. You wanted it, you paid what you thought it worth, the seller shipped it out, you now have it and are happy with it. End of story. Anyone who tells ya different is only stating an opinion, and who cares? I over pay and under pay all the time for stuff. Part of the business of buying and selling. If you are happy, that is all that matters. Besides, honestly here...how many people can say that when the mail comes, they use a snap on tool to open the mail, and that said tool is made for opening the mail?

That's exactly how I look at it. I don't mind overpaying sometimes because I always find a deal that is way under priced. I have been finding amazing deals at the Swap Meet lately. I found a Snap-On box wrench at a second hand store the other day for $1, so it all works out in the end really.

Was yours in a case ? Its just a long narrow box, silver lid( w/ Snap-on) and
black bottom.

Good job on the price....dont pay more than $40 for them, they are out there.

Friend of mine just gave me one of these to try and find out what it was or it's use. I thought it must be a letter opener as it's handle was too thin to apply any pressure and it appears well used(beat up). Logo is in a vintage style, no case and doesn't say where it was made . When did these come out? I have never seen one before and I have owned Snap-On tools since 1978. Thanks.
