I had my co truck in the shop the other night and the mechanic showed me his new light. It worked really nice and he said it holds up for several hrs. I looked it up but $72.00 was a little more than I could go for it. Have you guys seen anything like this out there that might be a little less? Ed

I am unable to paste the link as I am using my kindle since my laptop has blown up but here is the part # on Snap on website. ECFHKY.

It's an awesome light. I especially like that it uses the same charger as my Jambox Radio and MotoX phone. The magnet is good for at least 55-60 mph too in the event you forget that it's hanging from your rear skid plate.

I got my brother a Petzl rechargeable headlamp a few years ago, and he put some neodymium magnets in the base so he car stick it to his car or tool box. Similar price, but better value in my opinion with the head strap and the support from petzl.

That light is awesome. I had one it's worth the money. I dropped mine and it shattered in two. Glued it back together with weather stripping glue and used it for 3 more months lol

Thanks for posting the picture Toddacimer. That's the light. I wonder if they ever run a special on these. I do not buy off a truck very often any more so it's hard to see what they offer for specials occasionally, Ed

They were discounted to $65 for November-December. I don't think they're anything special and definetly aren't worth the price. Its awkward to hold, the LEDs aren't focused so if its hanging from a hood, for example, the illumination is poor, and its a 4 hour charge time. Its basically one of those $10 Larry lights with a magnetic swivel base. If you want a really nice compact work light check out the DeWalt DCL510 that runs off 12v MAX batteries. Its such a nice light I wouldn't regret paying for a battery and charger just for it if I didn't already have 12V MAX tools.

I have that snappy light, I like it. Pricey yeah, but it's good for its intended use. Its not an under hood light, it's a stick it a foot from what you're working on light.

I have a couple, it was a buy one get one deal. I like them and hold a good charge but I think for $72 there's better options. I use a headlamp 99% of time.

Yep. I used it for suspension work a lot. You can put it on the top of a wheel well and it filled up the whole wheel well usually. Having no variety of lights is always helpful

Those cob lights they're selling with the uv light **** IMO. The magnet is in the wrong place

I use this Snap On light all the time. It is just the ticket in tight spots, lasts a long time, and is adjustable to about any position you need. My only complaint with it is it's long recharge time, but I only have to recharge it twice a month.

I have a Matco something-2500...led only about 4" worth of lights on a 12"+ light, damn thing last forever though on a charge. I have a new same basic style Snap-On light, has two power modes, lightly shorter run time but about 1/2 the length . I really need to get a long underhood light though

Magnet also holds it on the front diff of your truck if you leave it there! Sweet little light.

The reason it takes 4 hrs to charge is because the supplied charger is only pushing 0.2Ah.

I use 1Ah chargers for tablets, takes less than 2 hours... I think.. I don't keep track.

I really wish that there were more products like this that used USB power packs instead of an internal battery.
