I am trying to discover the value of an unopened set of Snap On 9 piece Pearl Handle Cabinet screwdrivers. All flat head with shafts from 3" - 16". I have been offered $200.00, but I think that is a bit low. I do not know exactly how old these are, but somewhere about 30 years, +/- a few. Does anyone have any ideas? :dunno:

I would try ebay. Those collector sets are basically whatever someone is willing to pay for them. I don't think 200 is a bad price to sell at though.

I don't know about the pricing of Limited sets, but a brand new set of 8 cabinet screwdrivers goes for just under $200 off the truck. If they're worth anything for being Limited you may be able to get over that much for the 9 piece.

I was thinkig the same thing. I would think that Pearl cabinets would be pretty rare.

Are they 1gen hard handle or 2gen hard handles? That will make a difference. It really depends on the market, since I have only seen like two set for sale ever, I'd expect you to be looking at getting $250-300. Personally since they are all flats I think that would hurt value, I for one have no interest. $500 for a set of screwdrivers is a harleyjunk1 move imo.

I have a set of pearl handle mixed screwdivers, they were sold in a plastic tray, have had them aprox 23 yrs. They were unopened for the first 5 yrs. When I finished restoring my 69 judge, I opened them to do final minor assembly and adj to it. Been using them ever since.
If I screwed up, oh well, been doing that off and on my whole life, lol. John

I've only seen 1 other NOS set like that in my whole time on eBay, and I browse my searches every couple of hours. Final auction price was around $360. Having said that, it was a no reserve auction with a .99¢ starting bid. That's a ballsy move but that's the only way your gonna get close to $500. You got to give the buyers something to get worked up about and unrestricted auctions will do that. It takes balls though cause you can loose your *** too.

You could also throw in one of those free advertising screwdrivers to sweeten the deal...

Personally I can't stand the pearl white. Orange and black is how I roll.

YES. I started pretty high, but there is also the OBO option. I see a new set on the Snap On site for just under 200 for 8 mixed flat and Philips. Maybe the all flat is a deterrent, you think? Thanks for the response.

Ballsy is right! I would rather keep them than loose them for a **** price. I also have a Racing set listed. Perhaps I should list them together. That might make them more attractive. Yes?

I am apparently a *******. I have no idea if they are 1st or 2nd generation. All I remember is that they are about 30 years old +/- a few. How much, dollar wise, does the generation make? The 500 is also OBO. I have a **** load of watchers, but only one offer so far. They were only purchased originally because the "budget" had to be used (Typical bureaucratic use-it-or-loose-it BS).:bs:

I saw your listings. The flat cabinet screwdriver set are 1st gen hard handles that tend to crack. The 5 piece set are 2 gen hard handle (and most popular style handle) I personally wouldnt mind having the white standard length ones in my collection.

Phillips usually go for more than flats. Search "snapon pearl screwdriver" and look at the other 2 listings that aren't selling either. You're even blowing 1harleydjunk out of the water with his comparable set. He's famous for extreme prices.
