Snap-On LN47ACF vs. LN46ACF

Just got these yesterday, used the **** out of them today working on a crusty *** 2014 Journey. TONS of uses for these! They remind me of the old Cman Pro 2 position needle nose, but WAY more stout and longer. One pic is 97ACF needle nose next to the LN47ACFs.

This reviewer noticed a difference. There appears to be a fuse pulling groove

I have kept the longer ones in my cart, bought the shorter ones today to try. More often than not I could have gotten the job done with the smaller pair, and most of my issues with the pliers were size related.

I have the larger one, but I have a feeling little brother wants to come stay with big brother. I'll see how long I can resist.

I used it the other day to remove and install some e-clips, came in real handy.

Nearly every time the tool isn't working for a task, it's a size issue for me. I keep 10 pair of pliers in my cart, and I think the longer 9" version just doesn't fit. I have too many pliers of similar length thus the 7" can keep the baby Knipex cobras company. While the 9" are a great tool I think the 7" will be a better fit.

I have several sets of both in either my toolbox or truck or tractors. While both will do pretty much the same thing, the different size makes each one appropriate for different jobs.

This was my impression when the 9" was initially released- that's pretty damn big LOL. My most used pliers are in the 7-8" range. When HF makes an Icon version of the 7", maybe I'll pick up a set. Because you know they won't make a 7.5" version instead - way too much innovation involved in that

I have the longer version and have used it a lot. Jaws are starting to get excessive side-to-side slop after some abuse . Otherwise, it has been excellent. I will likely pick up shorter version at some point.

Nah, too BIG is the issue..... not sure they make something to help downsize.
