Snap-On grey colored locking pliers are made in Spain by Grip-On. Irega makes a darn fine adjustable wrench in Spain.

Spain the new china????
I suppose it was only a matter of time::(

Ha! Joke, I assume?

Spain is a developed, First World country with a real democracy. China it isn't.

Snap-On owns a bunch of European tool companies, or buys outsourced products from some companies.

To the OP - that made in Spain wrench will be leaps and bounds above any Apex Tools Crescent you could buy.

Channellock also outsources their adjustable wrenches to a Spanish company, it's probably the same one in question.

Snap-On grey colored locking pliers are made in Spain by Grip-On.

+1 Those Grip-On pliers are great. I've got a Snap-On branded pair. Way better than the Asian Vise-Grips.

They're very affordable too, the 4pc kit is on sale for just $5 more than Blue Point China-made lockers. I use my Omnium jaw Grip-On lockers constantly.

This and the "I can get it cheaper at Walmart" attitude on the part of consumers... Sadly it's a problem with many causes and few practical solutions.

EXACTLY! So much whining on here about buying stuff made here, but it's not the 50s anymore: American products are RARELY the best, and American workers are whiny, lazy and think they're worth more than they actually are. Sad but true.

They also own Bahco, which make stuff in Spain (I forget what exactly), and Bahco stuff is used/sold under Snap on (like their 325 hacksaw).

Having said that, Spain might be first world and democratic, but it's one of the poor relations Europe-wise, although it's better off than Eastern Europe...

i resent your ignorant comments and have to call you on it....things are made overseas because people with the wal-mart mindset want thing "cheap" and dont care or think about how they get it... if you dont want job safety, then i guess a company can just fire your *** when you get your fingers lopped off on the job.. AND ,american workers are the most productive workers IN THE WORLD

as for tools made in spain, i have a few and like them i have an old pair of super ego locking pliers that are cool

Yeah thats part of it, when you buy tools made in first world countries part of what you pay will inevitably go towards paying for a workers healthcare, and ensuring they work in a safe environment under reasonable conditions and recieve decent wages, something which everyone expects for themselves but few want to shell out for it if they don't have to. I wouldn't say USA workers are the most productive in the world though

PS: I have a couple of irega adjustables that I ordered online, thinking I was getting the snapon ones from the original source at a fraction of the price. Now that I compare them to other blokes snap on ones they are definately a bit different, but in no way any worse (if anything I like them a little better). I'm quite sure the snap on ones are produced by irimo, another adjustable wrench company that happens to be in spain
