What is so pathetic is that this 'mechanic' wanted to buy all these expensive snap on tools and then choose not to pay. The tool guy clearly said - give them back and he will leave. Look if this dude can't afford $50 a week or month or whatever to pay off a tool debt, maybe he is in the wrong business... and if he is just starting up, seriously just buy tools from Harbor Freight, with cash. Surely they are not as good as snap-on but if he is making so little money that he can't even pay his bill then HE DOES NOT NEED SNAP-ON, as his tools must hardly be getting used! Seriously, kids should have an entire class period every day devoted to how to be a responsible, honest individual, how to manage money so they can avoid debt and financial ruin and how to be a productive individual...
Its a combination of greed, naivety and stupidity... people want a $40,000 car before they even land their dream job and are established... then get pissed when it is going to get repossessed. My friend is in collections and he sees this all the time. Why not buy the best that you CAN afford and UPGRADE when you start making more money and the need arrises... WTF do you need a $10,000 snap on box for when you are just starting out at $9 an hour... jeeez... grow up kiddies...
If you want to dig your own grave that is your choice but don't expect us all to lay in the hole with you!
