Do any of you guys know WHICH tools in particular are made in these facilities? For example: I wish I knew which one of those facilities made the wrenches. I know the Kenosha facility is now an office, but what about the other facilities, are they still up and running?

Johnson City Tennessee was a Screwdriver/Pry bar facility primarily. According to a former employee I know it was scheduled to be closed late last year. I haven't driven near it in several years so I'm not sure if it closed or not. I live about 20 miles from it. Elizabethton is still going, but I'm not sure what products it produces.

from snap on's website............

These five U.S. Manufacturing locations produce Snap-on® hand tools, power tools and tool storage units.

Algona, Iowa

Elizabethton, Tennessee

Elkmont, Alabama

Natick, Massachusetts
Pneumatic tools

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

these 5 facilities are still producing tools. it may be a little out of date, i believe the natick air tool plant is closed and production moved to north carolina (it was discussed here previously). i'm not sure what tools are made in what plant though.

Merkava,
Take a look at the first page of each section in the Snap-On tool catalog. They often mention where certain tools are made. I seem to remember sockets and pliers being made in Milwaukee. Hope this helps

My MG325 was made in Murphy NC and the rest of the USA air tools are too I would think and cordless impacts. I ride by the elizabethton, Tn plant all the time, its about 45 min from me. Next time I go by I will get a picture. My Snap On man told me what they make there but I forgot, I will ask him today. I know its hand tools but dont know which ones but I will check.

Natick plant was closed recently from what I can tell. Like End of March recent. On Jan 13th the employees were told the plant would close in 60 days.

I drove by the Johnson City plant less than an hour ago. It is shuttered and the fence is locked. All Snap On signage is gone. I was told it was to be closed last year and it certainly looks it today.

If I remember correctly (which is questionable) someone here posted awhile back (1st of this year)they were closing a plant making the impact guns and moving production somewhere else in US or off shore. Anyone else remember post?

I believe you forgot:

No.1879, Yaitai Road, Wenyan, Xiaoshan, Hanghzou, China
430,560 sq. ft. to 645,480 sq. ft. (not sure exact size of plant)

They make a lot of pliers there.

I do not know the whole story there, but have heard local bits and pieces that would confirm the Weidenhoff connection(have a compresion gauge made by them)... will have to talk to my ole man tonight and see if I can dig up more specific information
