Hey All,

I am looking at getting a new box some time in the near future. Just waiting to see what is going to happen with the new building we are getting (Built in tool boxes?).
Buddy of mine got an EPIQ and I notice that there are many tiny scratches underneath the handle where you go to open it. I know its just wear from every day use. My question is does the master series / normal boxes have as many scratches from every day use?

Thanks,
Alex

I had a KRL722 Master Series in red for almost two years. It was very hard to note any scratches in the box. I used it every week, at least four days a week. I had since traded up to a 60" Epiq Series box in Gunmetal. Not as impressed with the box as I would like to be. I have the scratches that you noted in your post. Having 4 wheels that can lock or caster also doesn't impress me. I work in a hangar and have to roll my box around quite frequently. The wheels on the box don't track straight sometimes and make an annoying noise as they hop sideways trying to track straight again. I do like the impulse latch system on the Epiq Series, but I think the things I dislike strongly outweigh the things I do like. If it speaks any volume, I am actually in the works of stepping back into a KRL series. I think I am going to go with a KRL7022 or 7023 this time. Dealer has a KRL1023 on his truck, but I think I am more fond of the height of the shorter tool boxes.
